Terms and Conditions

At the Honeybunch Cake Company we want to make lovely cake for lovely people, but that still means we have to get the legal bits right. So here are our Terms and Conditions which will apply if you are using this site and/or placing an order with us.

These terms apply to goods ordered in person, via the internet, or by phone. We reserve the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time, but in respect of any ordered goods, the terms and conditions which apply shall be those which you accepted when placing your order.

By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Design and Consultation

All our cakes are made to order. You can either choose a cake from our portfolio, or we can design something unique for you. We offer free, no-obligation consultations for all cakes. We can also provide tastings. Please mention at the time of booking your consultation if there are any flavours you would like to try.


Collection/Delivery and Set up

You are welcome to collect your cake from our bakery.
We offer a delivery service and set up service for all our cakes and cupcakes. We advise that all wedding cupcakes and cake orders of two tiers or more take advantage of the delivery and set up service. Please contact us for a delivery quotation.

Cake Design or Quantity Alterations

We know it is hard to be accurate with numbers before all your guests have replied, so alterations to numbers for your cupcake order can be made up to one month before the date of the cupcake order.

Design alterations can also be accommodated for cake and cupcake orders up to one month before the date of your event. If the cost is affected then your balance will be adjusted accordingly.

Please note this does not apply to fruit cakes which will be made well in advance of the event. If you change you design and items have been previously ordered specifically for your order the cost of these will be taken into account when the order is re-costed for the new design.

The Honeybunch Cake Company reserve the right to make all decisions and amendments to cakes relating to the structure to ensure a professional level of decoration where climate, weather, delivery, or set up conditions require it. This includes, but is not limited to, doweling, boarding, and the use of coatings and coverings (including but not limited to American, Swiss, French Buttercream, Cream Cheese Frosting,  Meringue, Ganache, or Royal Icing) on the cake to ensure a stable cake with surface appropriate for decoration.

We further reserve the right to make amendments when working on the cake to guarantee that the overall finish of the cake is to a high standard. If you have ordered a sponge cake it is likely that these decisions will be made the week of your order. Whilst these decisions will seek to minimise changes, they will be made by a Senior Cake Decorator and fall under our professional purview.

Nut Allergies

We can assure you that all the care in the world is taken if you are ordering a nut free cake. But please be aware that our cakes are baked in a kitchen that may contain traces of nuts. It is your responsibility to make us aware of any allergy requirements. Please note that once the cake has been delivered by Bath Cake Company it becomes to responsibility of the customer.


Please ask before ordering your cake if you have any dietary requirements and we can provide you with allergen information. The allergens that are in your cake will be listed on a sticker on the side of the cake box or provided to your caterers. If we are delivering and setting up at a venue we will leave allergen information with a member of staff. Please note we cannot guarantee that there is no trace of any specific allergen in our cakes, but all the effort possible will be made to prevent any contamination.

Cake with fresh flowers or non-edible materials

We are happy to supply fresh flowers for your cake or your florist can do so. We can liaise directly with your florist and arrange to set up the cake with the flowers supplied at the venue. Please note that some flowers as not suitable for use on cakes and it is your responsibility to ensure that the flowers you have chosen are safe to come into contact with food.
Your order may contain some non-edible items such as ribbons, flower or feather holders or wires in sugar flowers. You are responsible for contacting your caterers and ensuring that they remove any such items before serving.

Stand Hire

We have a number of stands available for hire for our cakes and cupcakes. Please specify which style of stand you are interested in hiring and we will give you a quote. A deposit cheque or a cash deposit is required when any cake stand is hired. This will not be cashed unless the stand is not returned or comes back damaged. Stands must be returned within 3 working days. Please note we cannot take deposit payments by card.

Payment Terms

To confirm your order, a non-refundable deposit of £50 is required. The balance is due no later then 6 weeks before the date of your event. In the case of a failure to pay within this timescale The Honeybunch Cake Company reserve the right to cancel your order. Any latitude on this policy is entirely at the discretion of The Honeybunch Cake Company.  We accept payment by cash, cheque, or BACS transfer.


If you cancel your order for any reason more than 28 days before the date of your event, the 50% deposit is non-refundable but any other monies paid shall be refunded.

Any cancellations made after 28 days prior to the event will not qualify for a refund.

The Honeybunch Cake Company reserve the right to cancel your order, including but not restricted to, verbal abuse,  failure to respond to telephone or email contact in cases where the design can not be finalised before 1 month prior to the wedding, and non payment.
